One word art

This assignment, I chose the word Rainbow, Why? Well, Because it was kind of simple and it was the first thing that came to my mind. I use a larger scale for the letters, In order to make them come all the way across in the arch shape I used. I used the fount Goudy Stout, because it was a bolder font, made the letters much bigger. I stretch the 'O' alittle wider to make it fit across the arch. I took the pen tool and type along it, kind of moved the letters around with the arrow keys. Moving the word to the middle I made it where it took up most of the space on the page. I was going to layer the word rainbow into different layers like a rainbow but i figured that would be to much black. So I went with something simpler.

"Earth without art is just eh." - unknown

In this typography quote, i made the earth a semi-boring font because it shows meaning but its not really that fancy in this quote. I decided to make the word 'Art' abit artistic because art is a word that shows character. It gives you the feel of creation, i figure it should be wacky. The Eh was boring, so i made it a bold boring font. As for the Is and Just they arnt that important so i made them smaller and placed them in a spot they wouldn't really be noticed in.

Glyph Monster

My biggest struggle in this project was making all the glyph work together to make lines. I never really use the zoom so i can make some of the characters smaller than the other to shape out the line. It looks a little similar to the picture i chose to do. Except for the body, I  mean its not really as round as it should be. Although this project was extremely fun to do.

WaterDroplet

There was different techniques used in creating this water droplet. the most difficult part of the project was the gradient. I work through it by choosing different colors and trying to find colors that are close to the ones on the how to directions. I kind of made it my own.

Simple Shapes Steve.

On this Assignment, We had to use different tools in the illustrator. For example, we used the eclipse tool  a lot in the assignment. The knife tool was the harder to use due to the fact that it was hard to cut a straight line on the shapes we are suppose to cut. For the shoes and legs i just grouped everything together then, i made a reflected copy the parts to make the other side. On the ears it was easier to make copies of them that way i didn't make them different sizes.
