Halloween text(;

In this project I used the gradients tool, and followed the tutorial for this poster.I decided to make the words mostly one font but i changed the colors and sizes of the different sentences. I apologize for the year delay because this project was due October 22, 2013. Although, i tried my best, aligning the words in a block type text. Hope you enjoy(:

Water pollution

In this project I feel like I used Proximity, and alignment Because i made the water droplet big and the words a descent size compared to it. The alignment I put the words in a box and changed the sizes and colors of the words to make them fit how they would feel or what you would picture with them. I think I used a good contrast with the photo because i used the same color as the water droplet and I used a light yet dark green for the word garbage, because normally when I think of garbage i think of a dirty green color. The word ocean I used kind of a curvy font because they ocean is wavy and i changed the color to blue because normally when you think of the ocean you think of a blue color. The proximity fits in because of the way i layered things out in this project. With the water droplet on the side and the words beside it, Different sizes of words and different fonts because the important words need emphasizes.

WOOF

The hardest part on this project was the fur, hints how messy it looks. My dog came out looking like a panda so i decided to make it a panda. The easiest part to make was probably the nose at least for me it was. The tablet was hard to use i guess i made to big of strokes. I added white to the grey letters to make them like a panda-ish type of fur. All in all it came out well, for my first time trying to make it.

Lyric Typograophy

My choices on this typography project was the song Open letter by the Amity Affliction because i figured it would be easy to add details too and meaning with the art. Plus, these lyrics have a nice tune, they kind of just work together. The song just gives an emotional feel, its one of my favorite songs. Here is a link to the lyrics i used: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/amityaffliction/openletter.html . I bolded the important words, i made them easier to see. Made the stand out, i figured this way you would know the words that mean something in the lyrics. Passion and beauty were more of a curvy cursive font because i figure these would show the meanings of the word. The words are in a softer font, because they have more of a sweet meaning. Passion is in purple because the color purple symbolizes love and passion so i figured this would be a smart idea. The word searching is in more of a typewriter type font because i thought of like a detective report when ever i was thinking of ways to interpret the word. Sky is in a cloud shape, because when you hear the word sky dont you think of clouds?
The cloud shape kind of draws attention to the word sky. The word heart is over lapping a giant red heart, because i figured the red heart would give the photo more color. The less important words are smaller than the important words and they are in the same font. The lines emphasize the way everything sit. It kind of gives it standard. The whole text is in a square type lineament because it makes the text easier to read. Keeps it from being to all over the place. The few photos and shapes i added in this typography gives it a more pretty look. It emphasizes certain things, gives more of a meaning into the photo. Keeps it from being a word document type thing, that way it isnt dull. The Shapes draw your eyes to the words and the quote makes you want to read it.  The few colors added into it  keeps it from being plain, keeps the page from having a dullness to it. The space is perfect between words, they are not to close together or to spaced out. They have enough space where it is easy to read. All in all everything works together in this typography.

One word art

This assignment, I chose the word Rainbow, Why? Well, Because it was kind of simple and it was the first thing that came to my mind. I use a larger scale for the letters, In order to make them come all the way across in the arch shape I used. I used the fount Goudy Stout, because it was a bolder font, made the letters much bigger. I stretch the 'O' alittle wider to make it fit across the arch. I took the pen tool and type along it, kind of moved the letters around with the arrow keys. Moving the word to the middle I made it where it took up most of the space on the page. I was going to layer the word rainbow into different layers like a rainbow but i figured that would be to much black. So I went with something simpler.

"Earth without art is just eh." - unknown

In this typography quote, i made the earth a semi-boring font because it shows meaning but its not really that fancy in this quote. I decided to make the word 'Art' abit artistic because art is a word that shows character. It gives you the feel of creation, i figure it should be wacky. The Eh was boring, so i made it a bold boring font. As for the Is and Just they arnt that important so i made them smaller and placed them in a spot they wouldn't really be noticed in.

Glyph Monster

My biggest struggle in this project was making all the glyph work together to make lines. I never really use the zoom so i can make some of the characters smaller than the other to shape out the line. It looks a little similar to the picture i chose to do. Except for the body, I  mean its not really as round as it should be. Although this project was extremely fun to do.

WaterDroplet

There was different techniques used in creating this water droplet. the most difficult part of the project was the gradient. I work through it by choosing different colors and trying to find colors that are close to the ones on the how to directions. I kind of made it my own.

Simple Shapes Steve.

On this Assignment, We had to use different tools in the illustrator. For example, we used the eclipse tool  a lot in the assignment. The knife tool was the harder to use due to the fact that it was hard to cut a straight line on the shapes we are suppose to cut. For the shoes and legs i just grouped everything together then, i made a reflected copy the parts to make the other side. On the ears it was easier to make copies of them that way i didn't make them different sizes.

7 Elements of design. Sunny picture

The seven elements are being used in this sunny picture by the many different colors I added into the project. Although there are seven i may have only used a few of the seven elements. For example; I made the floors with different colors and added different shapes and lines. There is alot of space in this project, Like between all the flowers and the clouds, there is also limited space between the the cloud and the sun. All and all this is showing the elements of design.
